What To Expect:
The duration of this tour is approximately 3 hrs. Your Guide will direct you to the most amazing and stunningly-decorated area homes. You’ll learn the interesting story behind this neighborhood’s extreme holiday lighting tradition. Additionally, you’ll learn the origin of the neighborhood’s “Dyker Heights” name, interesting neighborhood stories and its presence in pop-culture, too.
Guests MUST check-in with their Guide 15-minutes before the tour begins. The group will walk approximately 15 minutes until the tour reaches the heart of the Dyker Heights Lights spectacle. The tour’s walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles (2.17 km), done at a leisurely pace.
The Dyker Heights Lights holiday lights attract thousands of visitors from around the world yet the area enjoys far less crowding than you’d experience while viewing Manhattan’s holiday lights and window displays. Considerably smaller crowds mean better enjoyment for even our youngest Guests who’ll have less onlookers around to crowd their views. The tour is leisurely paced. You’ll have lots of opportunities to snap great and memorable holiday photos.
Following your Dyker Heights Holiday Lights tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area further, on your own, if desired. Otherwise, if you’re ready to leave the area, your Guide will assist you with easy to follow directions that will lead you to the closest subway station.
